![]() Managed to score a boxed MX900 desktop (K800 keyboard + MX Master 2 mouse).Only changes are as follows (done on Saturday): I built this machine in 2019 and over time I have disabled all these wake timers and other crap □ I have at least been able to confirm that it isn't the keyboard causing the screen wake, because I turned it off last night and it kept happening. ![]() Right now I have enabled memory mode for my mouse and disabled G Hub from starting with Windows, so I will see if that helps. The problem really started when I added the K800 from Logitech, and although I already had G Hub installed for my G502 Hero mouse I have a suspicion that it is to do with Logitech software. Although the MX Master 2 is powered off and I am actually using the Logitech G502 Hero mouse. I had to install Logitech Options and Logitech Bolt for the K800 keyboard and MX Master 2 (originally was prompted to install Logitech Options+ I mean why the hell do Logitech have so many different programs for their devices?) I uninstalled Logitech Options+ because that does not support the K800 while Options supports both K800 and the MX Master 2. I have had G Hub installed for far longer than Logitech Options and Logitech Bolt, because I have had the Logitech G502 Hero mouse for ages, which uses G Hub, but didn't cause the screen on issues I am having now, which is basically all the time. It actually started doing it when I started using the Logitech K800 with the Unifier USB (from this past Saturday) but turning the keyboard off doesn't seem to help the issue. It is really annoying now that we have dark evenings because it lights up the room when the screen turns itself on.īy default the screen powers off after 1 minute, it is connected to DisplayPort. I have a Logitech Brio Windows Hello camera and when I see the screen is powered on I have the message "Windows is looking for you" even though I am sitting across the room and not facing the PC when it happens. I even switched off my K800 Logitech keyboard because I thought somehow that was causing it. That is what I want, but when I am watching a movie, I can see the screen turning on by itself without anyone's interaction. But still services and scheduled tasks will continue as is, though you log off, and any program can run in form of them.ĪFAIK No registry involvement will take place.I can't believe I can't search for this problem, because all the results I get is for behaviors that are expected, like "Windows 10 keeps turning displays off 1 minute after I lock the PC" Lock keeps user programs running but log off closes them all. Here the main differences between Lock and Log off is: It is dangerous, you will lose your unsaved data or files may get corrupted. Power off ( !!DANGER!!): Cutting down the power supply when computer is active. Then the computer will switched off and offline. Turn off/Shut down: Will close all running programs of current user, if another user is logged in then prompt to turn them off also. ![]() ![]() This will also let other users connect to this account through RDP or physically. Though services and scheduled tasks will continue to run, and any program can run as services or scheduled tasks. It is different from disconnecting session, because this will not allow users to connect session from Remote dekstop, only physically another user will log in. Log out: Close all programs of the user and log out. It is similar to Switch User when done physically. (Group policy can control what options appear in that menu).ĭisconnect session: It is simillar to lock, will lock the computer and keep User programs running and let other users log in using Remote desktop or physically. Lock can be triggered with Windows Key+ L or CTRL+ ALT+ DEL > Lock. Lock: It will lock the computer, but all the user's program will keep running. There are several things you need to know before:
